'NY WORKS' Road program repairs more than 2,000 miles of state roads --on time, under budget

GasBuddy Blog -- Earlier this month NY Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced the completion of all highway paving projects funded through the NY Works program. The program included replacing pavement at 172 sites across New York State, including approximately 2,157 miles of state roadways, as part of $229.9 million in contracts.

Paving completed on the Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) between exits 68 and 73 in Suffolk County was the last project in the program.

Always good to see roads in good shape.Knowing Gov Cuomos past friends,just makes you wonder how much Fed pork spending was at tax payers expense. Of course he would never do that.

You shouldn't believe him nor bloombergs LIES about about lawful gun owners. More gun restrictions only impair lawful gun owners. Look at the crime rates in cities & countries where we have the most restrictive gun laws!

Yes this is a repost from yesterday. But the reason being that the roads that were repaired under budget are falling apart again. It's about the quality of the repairs.

I could do the repairs under budget and early, but I will have to do them yearly.

Give us repairs that last decades for our money not months.
