No, don't blame E15 on Bush, don't mix the 2007 ethanol requirements with the new specific mandate on E15.
In 2007 U.S. Congress passed rules to allow EPA to mandate more ethanol be mixed into our gasoline supply with higher levels of ethanol each year. EPA is allowed to suspense or lower the total amount of ethanol each year but on Nov.16 Even with the 2012 drought, Obama's EPA mandated more ethanol be mixed into our gas for 2013.
Obama's EPA has approved use of E15 this year - 2012. Obama's USDA has approved our tax dollars being used to "grant" $30,000 to your neighborhood gas station to instal E15 Blender Pumpers

E15 gasoline leaving trail of problems, Bad for gasoline engines and No Fuel from Food! Produce straight gasoline, use No additives and limit the EPA! We have enough problems with Sneeky as it is, we don't need anymore. Thanks to the Sheep that voted him back into office and not reasearching what he hasn't done the last four years! Are the sheep saying: I'll voted for him 'cause I like what he says and the way he talks. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII!

That's correct toadNY, except that you need to thank BUSH, CHENEY and the GOP for the E15 requirement. The EPA is just following the law, as defined by the GOP.

Opps, more than $30,000.00 for one station - Indiana Prairie Farmer reports that one station in Iowa got almost $50,000.00 of our tax money to install two E15 blender pumps - "USDA Rural Development participated in the project by providing a $49,564 grant through its Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). The new fuel station has two fuel dispensers that give consumers a choice of higher ethanol blended fuels such as E15, E30 and E85"
Not only has the EPA approved sale of E15 gas but USDA is "granting" (giving away) our tax money thru this REAP program so gas stations will install E15 blender pumps!
Stop REAP!

There is not a proven blend of any ethanol that anyone could call good! It is keeping repair shops for cars and trucks, boats, lawnmower and other small engines busy. And it also raises the price we pay for food. One of the worst products ever developed by man!

I hope sawdust realizes that USDA is "granting" his tax dollars to gas stations to install E15 "blender" pumps.
USDA is granting $30,000.00 to your neighborhood gas station to install E15 Blender Pumps.
And if your neighborhood station puts in a single hose blender pump, you'll have to buy at least 4 gallons of E10 to make sure you don't get too much ethanol, that's another EPA mandate!

Nice to see the EPA use strong-arm tactics to force this sh*t down the consumers fuel tank... I don't even know of ANY flex fuel vehicle owners that use E85! They "try" it and never go back...

and this doesn't begin to cover other gas power tools. i still think the epa should be abolished. the regulations they have submitted for e15 are idiotic. when i see all fed employees driving a vehicle that gets 34 mpg and are paying for the use of that vehicle, i'll be the first to reconsider.
has anyone else ever looked at the car plates on an interstate and noticed that the vehicle passing them at 10+ miles over the speed limit gas gov plates?
i m sure i will get the same negative feedback as last time, oh well.
a fed government agency that cannot be flexible in times of crisis (such as Sandy or issues in california) needs to be reined in. these people work for us folks....

So, now we've gone from being able to make slightly over 90% of the gasoline we burn to somewhere closer to 85% of the gasoline we burn. And with Shell asking to export its sweet crude to Canada, it looks like we're going to be stuck with this stuff.
(And just so you know, I'm against the stuff. Where corn is being grown for car fuel, we should be growing veggies and fruits so that everyone can eat well. As it is, we eat too much junk "food" and not nearly enough real food.)

The EPA should be scaled back and all their regulations (since Clinton) should be reviewed and weighted against economic concerns. The EPA is a large part of the cause of the stagnant US economy.
The requirement for ethanol in gasoline should be completely removed.
