Gee, I would LOVE to have those "high" prices. We are averaging in the $3.70's and only went to the $3.60's very temporarily!
At 40 cent/gallon savings with a 15 gallon fuel tank....than saves the consumer $6.00 per fill up.

Gas prices are rising in the region? NO! Gas prices are lowering in the region! Local gas prices are almost down to what they were in December before the new years. Just keep the trend of lower gas prices going and do not stop. The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon - *$3, *$3.50/gallon or *$4.00 is Not the new low! The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! These resources are Not to be exported without taking care of the domestic market first. Speculators, manipulators and the banks continue to unfairly and unjustly make the driving public pay higher prices at the pump for their personal greedy benefit. More Refineries are Not the answer, Stop exporting fuel is! 'Coming out of the closet' Sneeky's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, the jobs are Not here. Sneeky's economy is not improving but continues to hurt the population and the job numbers continue to be down! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII! - The Day After......

In Orlando they stay high taking advantage of the tourist.
We have two other articles today saying prices are steady or will drop. If all possibilities are covered someone will be right.
The press is so scared of the current administration it's nor surprising seeing every angle being covered.
The "Private Sector" will only read, hear & see what they want us to.
I have a theory for ya. When ya need gas you're going to pay what ever it cost when you buy it where you stop. It might be high or it might be 2 cents lower than across the street.

"That’s five cents above the national average of $3.27."
National average of $3.27? The Gainesville Times needs a proof reader.

Three stories on the same day: one says gas prices are on the way up, one says gas prices are on the way down, and one says gas prices will remain steady. . .

Forecasting prices up; forecasting prices down; forecasting prices steady... Nary a single one of the forecasters knows what will happen in the real world that will drive pump prices... for the most part, they are simply hedging their bets, often with multiple experts offering differing forecasts for the same agency. I wouldn't let ANY of these "forecasters" loose in Vegas with any of my money.

Yahoo!, does this all feel like a bad roller coaster ride yet? No worries mates if you buy from a place like Costgo which are using gas sales as a legit "loss leader".
In Bloomingdale, IL the price is consistently 15 to 30 cents CHEAPER per gallon over several years. Just noting the "facts"!
