As fracking provides the shale oil and natural gas for the next energy revolution, that revolution will provide the stimulus for the economic recovery this country so desperately needs.

Musings?
This article provoked images of a future earth with all the natural gas and oil deposits sucked from it's innards looking more prune-like than round.
Will earth remain on course as it orbits the sun? There have already been an increase in earthquake activity in regions where they were relatively rare. Will all this fracking cause massive shifting of the tectonic plates?
Is anyone looking into this possibility?
Food for thought.

Yes, really.
I do have an objection to one item in this article. E3: Prices could fall significantly. Yes, prices can fall. No, they will never again fall significantly. Oil producers rely on the high prices. If the price starts to fall, then production starts to shut down. this will follow so that gasoline will never fall below $3 a gallon, and in 5 years will never fall below $4 a gallon. By the year 2030, gasoline will never go below $5 a gallon ever again.
This is the same time frame for US energy independence.

Really, accountants are trying to predict how the oil shale will create a "revolution". Got my doubts about this one.
