Yes! It makes sense to use more abundant resources for the real "hogs" of fuel...

i still think all new vehicles shoul dbe made to run off of at least three power/fuel/energy sources when needed. say for exaample liquified me-thane as the main source, naturla gas as the secondary and electric generated from the brake system for an emergency. blah blah blah means but all these corprations will only push one instead of all to be used.all because of greed or stupidity.

There is nothing new here. We had buses and cabs and delivery vehicles running on natural gas 15 years ago and it did not work out well for business and now our filling stations have all closed down because industry found out that natural gas is not a good or reliable vehicle fuel and especially during the colder months of the year. For heating homes and businesses it is great but not in vehicles.

and? guess who is going to pay for all these new upgraded natural gas vehicinals. : ) you /me/U.S.....exactly their trying to create a monopoly and the gov'ment is helping them do it.......in the end your heating bills will be skyrocketing as they make excuse after excuse to increase fees for the same reasons big earl is doing right now.plants shutting down, break downs in production, drop in supplies,so and so on.retrofitting supply lines, upgrading supply lines, storage facilities that are old being replaced. blah blah blah means they are not doing it for the welfare(just for out health) of U.S. all.

I saw a delivery truck the other day - big sign on side said it was powered by natural gas.
It is happening. I hope prices don't spike and make it unaffordable.

This makes a lot of sense. EVs are not ready for prime time. CNG can be the interim solution.

The only factory-made, natural gas-powered passenger car available to U.S. consumers is the Honda Civic Natural Gas. While Honda expects sales to top 2,000 this year, that's a fraction of the number of gasoline-powered Civics it moves in a single month."
There are other vehicles being added to the Honda Civic GX that burn natural gas. Chrysler offered up the Dodge Ram 2500 pick up truck supposed to be out in July didn't get offered to the public until fall. There is also a Silverado I understand, a Chevrolet by GM.
Build the vehicles and the stations will follow. You can't expect a station to go in business before there is a demand for their survices. I visited a Chrysler dealer to see their Dodge Ram pick up and they didn't have one or any literature to show me. How long does it take?

Ft. Worth has had CNG city buses since 1990, don't know why more fleets don't use CNG.
