Oil prices dip slightly as analysts expect US crude stockpiles to grow

Associated Press -- Oil prices dipped slightly Tuesday as analysts predicted a rise in U.S. crude stockpiles, underscoring weak demand for fuel.

Benchmark oil for February delivery was down 4 cents to $93.15 per barrel at midday Bangkok time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract rose 10 cents to finish at $93.19 a barrel on Monday.

Analysts estimated that the American Petroleum Institute and the U.S. Energy Information Administration would report an increase in crude oil stocks of 1.5 million barrels for the week ended Jan. 4, according to Platts, the energy information arm of McGraw-Hill Cos.

I hope it drops in price. Ive seen Natural and power drop there rates becaus eof lower fule. Keep it lower, it works for all.

Demand keeps dropping as people continue to lose jobs.

Prices down but no where near cheap. Not likely to stay or drop more. The specu-traitors (speculators) are back from vacation and can spend full time legally robbing us at the pump.

But why does some gas stations increase their prices while other held their own? Prices differ up to .14.

No lowering of prices here yet. We had seen $2.97 a couple of weeks ago. But now in the $3.17-3.25 range.
