Report: Western refineries made gas during price spikes

USAToday -- Research released Thursday shows West Coast refineries continued to produce gas even though told they were temporarily shut down, leading to price spikes in May and October.

The report, based on environmental documents reviewed by McCullough Research, finds that gas supplies were building in May, when West Coast drivers paid at least 50 cents more than the national average.

Californians were walloped by the October spike, blamed partly on an August fire at the Chevron refinery near San Francisco: about 66 cents per gallon more than historical patterns and inventories.

Definitely something to think about. Of course, the industry spin doctor is always ready to spew a fresh load of industry propaganda. These industry types have convinced themselves that if they just keep telling the same lies ... Thing is, we are so on to what a bunch of liars they are. They know they are lying. We know they are lying. Oil & gas is a dirty, greedy business run on lies, deception & industry generated hype. Time for some change that is based on legitimate science and legitimate facts.

It was clear to me then and even more clear to me know that Gasbuddy has an investment in the oil market. And of course, we are STILL to believe those companies like Gasbuddy and MJ Mervin and the so called oil analysts rationalizing the oil company's spike in Gas prices.
