Retrobuilt 1969 Mustang Fastback

AutoBlog -- Blink your eyes and take another look. While all visual cues may be telling your brain that you are staring at a near-pristine 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback, it's all a carefully crafted illusion – a very clever façade.

Looks pretty cool. As for the poster below, the article says the retro-fit job costs $30,000 plus the cost of the donor car...

Retrobuilt 1969 Mustang Fastback but No Retrobuilt Mustang for me! I bought a '79 Honda Civic instead of a Mustang with much better mpg and reliability. Whatca' gonna' do with all that horse power when it eats into the gasoline supply that much faster?
My current vehicle was paid off many years ago and I don't need any car payments now! I will drive my current vehicle into the ground before buying anything new, used, EV, Inbred, diesel, hydrogen, alternative fuel, CNG, concept and certainly NOT a Fiat, Prius, Tesla, Leaf, Volt or an NYC/Sandy Special 'exploding submarine' Fiskar Karma Inbred!
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Note that the price for the conversion work, alone is, $30,000. This is in addition to the stock Ford car.

A shame this firm is not restoring the REAL ones. A facade is not quite the same.

"$30k over the cost of the donor car". Heck, at that price you can buy just about any classic car and still have enough left over for a couple of tanks of ethanonl free premium so the engine won't knock. :)
