U.S. NATURAL GAS EXPORTS COULD BREAK RUSSIAN DOMINANCE? That's the way it goes, if one country is able to export gas at cheaper prices and reliable delivery, then so be it. As more and more domestic natural gas is used for heating homes, NG vehicles and electrical generation don't expect natural gas prices to remain low. Big Oil and Big Gas exports fuel and natural gas to other countries that will pay more for it, much more than here. There will be NO large price reduction or cheaper prices for fuel or natural gas IN the US, so it does NOT matter how much crude oil or natural gas is produced. The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon, *$3, *$3.50/gallon or *$4.00 is Not the new low! As more and more vehicles, trucks or buses are built to use natural gas OR are converted over to natural gas, more natural gas will be used and the price will go up. Don't expect natural gas to stay low for very long, the trend for all fuel prices is always up and up more! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII!

We can afford the export of gas at this time. It will help friendly nations and our balance of payments (more exports).

I remember watching Russia do this in 2 different winters to eastern European countries. I can't remember the details but I it may have led to loss of lives. The stories that emerged were of times of desperation by people to stay warm.

US business is too greedy to sell it at a lower price than the Russians but if they do keep exporting it they will be back to not attaining energy independance just like happened when they started selling their oil offshore and not at home when America had more then enough oil for their own use. Keep it home and you don't run out as fast.

You have millions of homes still heating with OIL. Convert them to natural gas first. Convert some cars and trucks, convert some hydro plants. Exporting it is a STUPID IDEA for your national interests, it's short term money and then you're back at square one!
British COlumbia intends to export gas, too. However the homes here are already converted, there have been cars trucks and taxis running on it since the 1980s and there's only a couple power plants that aren't hydro-electric to convert. It's not bloody "socialism" to take care of your own country first in spite of what the money obsessed fools tell you!

Natural gas will be sold to the highest bidder, just as the oil being sent to the Gulf via the Keystone would be exported. It's all about the profit, not about making the U.S. energy independent.
